Heartline Romania Inc. is an international nonprofit dedicated to adoptee rights, family reunification, and child welfare reform. We support adoptees seeking identity, records, and reconnection, while advocating for transparency, accountability, and humane treatment across borders.

Open Roles

Eight disciplines. One shared standard of care.

Child Development & Psychology

Developmental psychology, trauma-informed care, attachment, youth wellbeing.

Finance & Nonprofit Governance

Budgeting, compliance, audit, risk management.

Family Attorneys / Child Welfare Lawyers

Strong bar standing, adoption law, administrative law, cross-border legal processes.

International Law Specialists

EU law, Hague Convention, human rights frameworks.

Medical Professionals

Ideally psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatric specialists.

Case Workers & Social Workers

Family tracing, reunification support, safeguarding.

Translators & Interpreters

Romanian, English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish preferred.

Founding Board Members

Governance, ethics oversight, strategic direction for an international nonprofit.

Core Responsibilities
  • 01

    Participate in board meetings, strategic planning, and governance

  • 02

    Provide expert guidance on cases, policy, ethics, and program development

  • 03

    Support adoptees and families through multidisciplinary, trauma-informed frameworks

  • 04

    Contribute to organizational oversight, transparency, and compliance

  • 05

    Collaborate with international partners, ministries, and institutions

  • 06

    Uphold Heartline Romania's values of compassion, integrity, and accountability

Required Qualifications

Baseline (all applicants)

  • No criminal record (certificate required upon onboarding)
  • Relevant educational background in one of the listed fields
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to child welfare
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate across time zones
  • Fluency in English or Romanian (both preferred)

Role-specific

Family Attorneys / Lawyers
Active bar membership in good standing.
Medical Professionals
Valid medical license; psychiatry/psychology strongly preferred.
International Law Specialists
Demonstrated experience with cross-border legal frameworks.
Translators
Proven accuracy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
